Yiwu Fair has been held for 13 successive years since 1995. It is held in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province in October every year. In 2002,it was upgraded as an international commodities fair. Since then, the event has been jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government and other relevant
authorities. The Yiwu Fair, as a highly internationalized and informative event with excellent services and security, has become one of the largest, most influential and most productive commodities fairs in China. It has become the third largest exhibition sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, ranking only next to the China Import and Export Fair in
Guangzhou and the East China Fair in Shanghai. The Fair was honored as China’s Best Managed Exhibition in 2005, one of the 2006 Top Ten Exhibitions in China, China’s Best-outcome Exhibition in 2006, and the 2007 Top Quality Exhibition in Yangtze River Delta in China.
Exhibition centre introduction
-- Invested with 150 million Yuan by China Commodity (Group) Co., Ltd. (CCC), the Exhibition Center of the CCC, Meihu Exhibition Centre covers an area of 70,000 square meters, with a floor area of 46,500 square meters. It is one of the biggest specialized exhibition centers in East China with exhibition, conference, intelligent network and meal facilities. The Center is a trustee unit of the China Association of Exhibition Hall, a vice-chairman unit of the federation of Commercial Exhibition Industry and one of the top 10 new enterprises in 2003.
The Meihu Exhibition Center enjoys a convenient traffic with Binwang Road on the west and Jiangdong East Road on the east, and is only 5km to the Railway Station and 10Km to the airport. To the north stands the Sports Center and the Gymnasium, which can hold an audience of 40,000. Luxury hotels also surround the Center.
The Exhibition Center is made up of a main hall in the center and two other halls in the east and west wings. In the north are the offices and meeting-rooms. Each part is in close proximity, yet separate, so as to not disturb each other, if separate functions are taking place. With several elegant arches of the roof on the top, the whole building takes on a beautiful look, like a giant lanneret bird ready to fly.
The functionality of the Center is extensive and complete. People, goods and information travel very smoothly between the halls. There are convenient entrances and elevators. Trucks with display items can drive into each hall. The Internet and IDD reach each exhibition booth, so you can easily conduct E-business.
The Exhibition Center of the CCC will devote itself to promote the prosperity of the Chinese exhibition industry by providing a brand-new platform for the national and commodities circulation and economic technology exchange.
